Linkin Park is up for for 2 mtvU Woodie Award nominations. LP has been nominated for The Good Woodie for Music For Relief, an organization they founded to aid victims of natural disasters and help reduce global warming and The Viral Woodie. The award show will be airing on Thursday, November 15 on mtvU and mtvU.com.

Linkin Park performed 3 songs at the Venetian Hotel’s Tao Beach club as a possible warmup for the big gig at Hard Rock show. Now, most people would think performing 3 songs isn’t much of a concert especially when they kicked off the concert with “One Step Closer” and having Chester skip a whole second verse by mistake.

FYI, here was our idea before the VMAs: since everyone is going to be doing cameo appearances, promoting their performances as much as possible, and playing short snippets of their song, let’s do the opposite–don’t put anyone else onstage, go on unannounced, and play our song from beginning to end (thanks to MTV for going along with our “crazy” idea)…ha! Timbaland and Jay-Z have been hit with a lawsuit over the single Big Pimpin. Osama Admed Fahmy filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Federal Court, claiming that Timbaland illegally replayed portions of “Big Pimpin” note-for-note, using a melody lifted from the song “Khosara, Khosara” which was written by composer Baligh Hamdi and performed by Egyptian star Abdel-Halim Hafez in 1957. Jay-Z, Timbaland, Linkin Park, EMI Music Inc. are among the defendants named in the lawsuit over the hit single, which was also mashed up on Linkin Park’s song “Papercut”.

Last night as i watched the MTV Awards, Linkin Parked SOOOOOOOOO rocked. They were awesome, the song, the lasers, it was one of the best of the night. You can see clips of the awards at MTV.com.

Linkin Park coming to Thailand
Linkin Park has added another date, they will play in Bangkok, Thailand at the Aktive Square on November 11. LPU presale tickets starts on Sept 22-29, public sale on the 29th.
