Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has confirmed he will return to Dead by Sunrise, the side project he put on hold while working on LP’s Minutes to Midnight. Bennington told the Pulse of Radio he will do some work during the holidays, but the Sunrise album won’t be completed until next spring.

Timbaland has been reported to work with Linkin Park for his follow up album for Shock Value. There isn’t official word of this yet. We’ll see what LP will say about this. They slammed LP for the green Projekt Revolution tour for having trash everywhere after the show and how people weren’t putting correct recyclables in the right bins or possibly throwing them into regular garbage cans. Linkin Park’s outreach project, Music for Relief, is helping Southern California recover from the devastating wildfires. The band has contributed $50,000 to Direct Relief International, a Santa Barbara nonprofit that has been providing medical supplies to victims, and the donation was matched by SanDisk Corporation, a flash-data-storage-card company.

“The wildfires are an unfathomable tragedy,” LP bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell said in a statement. “Being able to help victims of a natural disaster like the wildfires is exactly why Music for Relief was founded.”

The band is also encouraging fans to make their own contributions through the Music for Relief Web site - MusicForRelief.org/donate.
