Timbaland and Jay-Z have been hit with a lawsuit over the single Big Pimpin. Osama Admed Fahmy filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Federal Court, claiming that Timbaland illegally replayed portions of “Big Pimpin” note-for-note, using a melody lifted from the song “Khosara, Khosara” which was written by composer Baligh Hamdi and performed by Egyptian star Abdel-Halim Hafez in 1957. Jay-Z, Timbaland, Linkin Park, EMI Music Inc. are among the defendants named in the lawsuit over the hit single, which was also mashed up on Linkin Park’s song “Papercut”.

Buzz is the new single is “Shadow of the Day,” and Joe Hahn booked to direct it again.

Last night as i watched the MTV Awards, Linkin Parked SOOOOOOOOO rocked. They were awesome, the song, the lasers, it was one of the best of the night. You can see clips of the awards at MTV.com.

Tuesday’s, Aug. 28th. A lot of the Projekt Revolution fans are injured at the New York State Fair show and were sent to the hospital after the crowd turned into an almost near riot. Some of the fans, suffered injuries when a fight broke out in front of the audience. Two people were hospitalised for broken arms and a third for a broken leg.

The band’s six members never have approached projects half-heartedly. And “Minutes to Midnight” amounts to a full-scale reinvention of the group’s sound, away from the rap-rock of multi-platinum albums “Hybrid Theory” and “Meteora” and toward nuanced songwriting that still incorporates hip-hop-infused hard-rock grooves.
“Those two albums were, in a sense, brothers, and we felt like doing another in that vein would be redundant,” Shinoda says. “So we picked up and moved.”
The band is spending its summer on “Projekt Revolution,” an ambitious, festival-style tour featuring 10 other acts. It visits Verizon Wireless Music Center today and showcases theatrical modern rockers My Chemical Romance, melodic hardcore band Taking Back Sunday and Finnish hard-rock quintet HIM, among others.
