What You Are Going To Get

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Just what are we going to get this year with Projekt Revolution? …….Well………Chester and the guys did a recent interview with Billboard.com to talk about totally kewl things the fans will expect on this year’s Projekt Revolution.

“We’re all rock bands; we want to put on cool light shows and blow sh*t up and have as much going on visually as we can,” Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington told Billboard.com during a teleconference on(June 26) that also included members of My Chemical Romance and others.

“We’re allowing the other bands to put on whatever show they want to put on,” he added. “There’s no restrictions. If everyone on the tour has the freedom to shine at their best and there’s no limitations, I think the fans will walk away completely satisfied.”

Chester said that Linkin Park’s 90-minute set will include “a lot” of songs from its latest album, “Minutes to Midnight,” as well as “all of the singles” form the group’s two previous albums. “We kind of are amazed at the fact we can squeeze an hour and a half out ’cause our records are short,” the singer added with a laugh.

Solo Plans On Hold

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports, Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has put his solo plans aside for the moment to focus on his main band. Reports that Bennington was working on an album of his own first surfaced nearly two years ago, with the singer later telling MTV.com that he had up to three separate projects on tap. But Bennington told Launch that while he did start work on at least one side venture, he’s put it on the back burner for now. “I was actually pretty deep into recording my other project, called Dead By Sunrise, and we were really far into the record,” he said. “And then, you know, LP got together and we all decided that we wanted to make a record and start as soon as possible. So Linkin Park takes the lead, you know what I mean? So I stopped working on the record and I’ll be finishing it up while we’re touring over these next couple of years, and it’ll be ready to go out.”

This should make up for the blocking of webcasts of Linkin Park’s performances at this year’s Pinkpop, Rock Am Ring, and Download festivals. It will also mark the first time we’ve seen “The Little Things Give You Away” and “Leave Out All The Rest” at such a high-quality.
